Here are my notes for episode 3. I'd also like to mention the relatively fast pace of this show, at least in comparison to most other josei series adapted by noitaminA. Let us know what you think of the show and our subs!
03:55 - "Maybe you should start looking for those seven balls instead of whining." -> Yes, this is in fact a reference to Dragonball Z. Hazuki's point here is that Atsushi's only hope of having another chance with Rokka is to find the seven balls of DBZ-fame, summon that bad-ass dragon, and wish for it. On a somewhat-related side bar, I heard there's a new DBZ movie due out next year. What's this white stuff in my pants?
09:08 - It looks like Atsushi can actually impact the real world. Though, only toward Hazuki so far. I wonder why? Omoshiroii.
13:15 - "All you'd have to do is go to sleep!" -> The concept of body possession is quite common in Japan, particularly in famous literature, such as the Tale of Genji. In it, the jealous spirit of Lady Rokujo separates itself from her physical body to torment other women Genji philanders around with. One such example is a woman named Yugao, who is possessed and ultimately killed by the vengeful spirit in her sleep.
